ErrorFix: Peer certificate did not match in sending email

Error:

Connection failed. Error #2: stream_socket_enable_crypto(): Peer certificate CN=`<hostname>' did not match expected CN=`smtp.gmail.com'

Or

stream_socket_enable_crypto(): Peer certificate CN=`<hostname>' did not match expected CN=`in-v3.mailjet.com'

Solution:

  1. Login to WHM
  2. Goto Home »Security Center »SMTP Restrictions
  3. Make sure the SMTP Restrictions is Disabled

    Disable SMTP Restrictions

  4. That’s all! Now try to send email, hope you will be able to send email !
