Frequently asked questions
Is this a legally valid signature?
It’s an electronic signature: an image of your signature placed on the document. Many everyday agreements accept this kind of e-signature, but requirements vary by country and document type, so check if you’re signing something like a deed, will or regulated contract.
Is this a digital (certificate) signature?
No. The tool doesn’t add a cryptographic digital signature with a certificate, so it doesn’t prove who signed or detect later changes. If you need that, use software that signs with a certificate (for example Adobe Acrobat with a digital ID).
Can the signature be moved after I download?
The signature is flattened into the page content, so it can’t be dragged around in a normal PDF viewer. Keep your original file if you might want to sign it differently later.
How do I use a signature I wrote on paper?
Take a well-lit photo or scan, choose “Upload image” and keep “Remove white background” on. Near-white paper becomes transparent so only the ink appears on the page.
Is my signature stored or uploaded?
No. The PDF and your signature are processed only in your browser and are forgotten when you close the page. Nothing is sent to our servers.
