Frequently asked questions
Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?
No. The whole split runs in your browser, so the document never leaves your device. That makes it safe for contracts, statements and other private files.
How do I write page ranges?
Use commas for single pages and a dash for runs: 1-3, 5, 9-12. Leave out the end to go to the last page (7- means 7 to the end). In Custom ranges, separate output files with | or a new line.
Does splitting reduce quality?
No. Pages are copied as they are, so text stays sharp and selectable and images aren't recompressed.
Why are several files downloaded as a ZIP?
Browsers block or ask about many separate downloads, so multiple PDFs are bundled into one ZIP. You can also download any single file from the list.
Why is each split file almost as big as the original?
Pages often share fonts and images. Each new PDF must include the resources its pages use, so a few pages can still carry a whole embedded font. Run the result through Compress PDF if size matters.
