These are Unicode symbols, not real fonts, so they paste anywhere text goes. Some apps or older phones show boxes (☐) for rare characters, screen readers often read them badly, and search engines don't treat them as normal words — use them for names, bios and highlights rather than whole posts.
Mix styles — make just one word bold, italic or anything else

Frequently asked questions

How does cursive text work without installing a font?

The letters are Unicode "Mathematical Script" characters. They are part of the text itself, so any device with a font containing them shows them in script — you don't need to install anything.

Why do a few cursive letters look different?

Letters like ℬ, ℰ, ℱ, ℋ, ℐ, ℒ, ℳ, ℛ, ℯ, ℊ and ℴ were added to Unicode earlier as standalone symbols, so the script alphabet reuses them. Some fonts draw them in a slightly different style from the rest.

Which looks better: regular or bold cursive?

Bold cursive (𝓐𝓑𝓒) is easier to read on small screens and dark backgrounds. Regular script (𝒜𝒷𝒸) looks lighter and more elegant for names.

Can I use cursive text in my Instagram name?

Usually yes in the display name and bio. Usernames (handles) only allow letters, numbers, periods and underscores, so fancy characters won't work there.

Do cursive letters include numbers?

No — Unicode has no script digits, so numbers and punctuation stay normal.
