Frequently asked questions
What Markdown syntax is supported?
Standard CommonMark plus GitHub Flavored Markdown (GFM): tables with column alignment, task lists (- [ ] and - [x]), strikethrough (~~text~~), fenced code blocks and automatic links.
Is the HTML output safe to paste into my site?
The HTML is sanitized with DOMPurify before it's shown or copied, which strips scripts, event handlers and other dangerous markup while keeping normal formatting.
Why doesn't a single line break create a new line?
In Markdown, a single line break inside a paragraph is treated as a space. Leave a blank line to start a new paragraph, or end a line with two spaces or a backslash to force a line break.
How do I make a table in Markdown?
Separate columns with pipes (|) and put a row of dashes under the header, like | --- | --- |. Add colons to align a column: :--- left, :---: center, ---: right. The Table button inserts a starter table.
Is my document saved or uploaded?
Nothing is uploaded — the editor runs entirely in your browser. It also isn't saved automatically, so download the .md file to keep your work.
